Abertis Chairs
The Chaire Abertis-ENPC/IFSTTAR Paris Tech organised the Abertis Award in France at the International Abertis Award ceremony on 18th October held at the Spanish Embassy in Paris.
The French Chair was established in 2011 from the collaboration between the École des Ponts (ENPC) Paris Tech and the Institut Français des Sciences et Technologies des Transports de l’Amenágement et des Réseaux and is directed by professor Simon Cohen.
With regard to the Abertis Award itself, its winners in France were Dr Anne-Sarah Briand (Université Paris Est) in the Doctoral Thesis category with the work titled“Analysing mobility in public transport systems through machine learning applied to ticketing log data”; Berenguer Le Tellier (Université d’Strasbourg) in the Road Safety category for his research titled “Child Restraint Systems (CRS) assessment methodology in an automotive context”.Insofar as the Master’s thesis category, the jury decided to declare the award void.

The exhibition “Miró: la experiencia de mirar” (Miró: the experience of looking)was held at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires (Argentina) from 25th November 2017 to 25th February 2018.

In the previous summary we indicated that the artist Joan Miró maintained a close link with the avant-garde scene in Paris from his youth until a ripe old age. The exhibition sponsored by Abertis at the Grand Palais enabled the Catalan painter to return to the French capital.
